Description
These soft and chewy Halloween sprinkle cookies are the perfect festive treat for spooky season. Made with simple pantry ingredients, rolled in vibrant sprinkles, and baked to golden perfection, they’re fun, kid-friendly, and guaranteed to disappear fast at any Halloween party.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 tablespoons salted butter, melted
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 ½ teaspoons clear vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup Halloween sprinkles (jimmies recommended)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat melted butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add vanilla extract and egg, mixing until smooth.
- Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until dough forms. Do not overmix.
- Gently fold in sprinkles until evenly distributed.
- Roll dough into 1–2 tablespoon balls and place 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes. Remove even if slightly soft in the center — they’ll firm up as they cool.
- Allow to cool on the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
- Use jimmies-style sprinkles for best results (they won’t bleed into the dough).
- For thicker cookies, chill dough for 30 minutes before baking.
- Dough can be made ahead and chilled for up to 24 hours.
- Store in an airtight container for 3–4 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
