Description

Tender beef bites and baby potatoes simmer in garlic butter for a cozy, flavor-packed dinner. This Slow Cooker Garlic Butter Beef Bites with Potatoes recipe is your new favorite dump-and-go comfort meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds beef stew meat (or cubed sirloin for faster cook time)
  • pounds baby Yukon gold potatoes, quartered
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh garlic, minced
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pads

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients
Place the beef stew meat on one side of the crockpot and the potatoes on the other side. This helps prevent mushiness and over-mixing during the first stage of cooking.
  2. Season
Evenly sprinkle the onion powder, garlic powder, and seasoned salt across the meat and potatoes. Gently toss the beef to ensure it’s fully coated with seasoning.
  3. Add Garlic & Butter
Sprinkle minced garlic over the top, then distribute butter pads evenly.
  4. Cook Low & Slow
Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours, or until the beef is tender and the potatoes are cooked through.
Optional: If using sirloin steak, cook on HIGH for 4 hours for faster results.
  5. Final Touch
Gently mix everything together just before serving. Spoon some of the flavorful garlic butter sauce from the bottom of the pot over the beef and potatoes for extra richness.

Notes

  • Best Cut of Meat: Beef stew meat is ideal for slow cooking, but cubed sirloin or chuck roast also work well and may cook slightly faster.
  • Faster Cooking Tip: For quicker results, use sirloin and cook on HIGH for 4 hours instead of 6 on LOW.
  • Butter Substitute: For a lighter option, you can reduce the butter to 3 tablespoons or swap in a garlic-infused olive oil.
