Description
White Chocolate Strawberry Ghosts are a quick, no-bake Halloween dessert made with fresh strawberries, melted white chocolate, and candy eyes. They’re festive, adorable, and a lighter alternative to candy-heavy treats.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb fresh strawberries (medium-large, firm)
- 10 oz white chocolate (bars or chips)
- 1 tsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
- Candy eyes OR black icing for faces
Instructions
- Wash strawberries gently and pat them completely dry. Any moisture will prevent the coating from sticking.
- Place chopped white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 20–25 second bursts, stirring after each round, until melted and smooth. Stir in coconut oil if needed.
- Hold a strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, turning it until coated. Let extra chocolate drip off.
- Place dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined tray, allowing some chocolate to pool at the bottom to create “ghost tails.”
- While still soft, add candy eyes or pipe tiny dots with icing to create ghost faces.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes, or until the chocolate sets. Serve cold.
Notes
- Best served the same day for freshness.
- Store in a single layer in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 36 hours.
- Do not freeze—strawberries become mushy when thawed.
- Use melted dark chocolate instead of candy eyes if you prefer DIY faces.
